This should provide you with the knowledge to tackle many, many patterns - you’ll be surprised how much you can do with just a couple of stitches! In this class, you’ll receive a basic beginner pack with everything you’ll need for the evening, plus some guides to help you practice in the future, and we’ll end the class with square swatches of the two different stitches.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWeek TWO: In this lesson we’ll practice our stitches that we learnt in the first class, working on our tension, counting and covering how to move onto the next row. We’ll also look at reading patterns, understand the difference between US and UK terminology, and try our hand at increasing and decreasing stitches to create shapes within our work. By the end of this class, you should feel confident in the basic stitches, be able to make swatches of the different stitches with increases and decreases, and be ready to tackle your first pattern.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWeek THREE: In our third lesson, we’ll work on a simple pattern together, creating either cup coasters, a small pouch or a little granny square bag. By the end of the three sessions, you will have the basic knowledge to take on a huge variety of projects, and will have all the materials to get started.
